A new CGES Working paper ‘The modernisation of Public Administrations in the European Union and in the Russian Federation: University International Relations Offices Case’ by Lola Rouze, a master in international relations and diplomacy from University Lyon 3 Jean Moulin, France is now available on the website of the Centre for German and European Studies.
This paper compares the modernisation levels of the Universities’ International Relations Offices in the Russian Federation and in the European Union. The analysis is based on Max Weber’s definition of modernity and uses the results of a questionnaire survey distributed among the civil servants working in Russian and European IROs, as well as their users.
The author’s research stay in St. Petersburg was supported by the CGES as an award for winning the Annual Russian-European Research Paper Competition held at the CGES of St. Petersburg University in November of 2018. More about Lola’s research stay here.
The seventh Russian–European research papers competition will be announced this spring, stay tuned by subscribing to the CGES newsletter here.
