We are pleased to present Annette Mehlhorn - a new lecturer of the MA program ‘Studies in European Societies’, a co-editor of the CGES Working Papers, and a new associate researcher at the Russian office of the Centre for German and European Studies, St Petersburg University.
Annette Mehlhorn is a Social Scientist enthusiastic about transdisciplinary explorations of such topics as social change, protest, law and transnational movements. She holds a BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Free University Berlin, a MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is currently finishing her PhD conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle. Annette’s PhD research was dedicated to the (im)possibilities of radical transformations through law, which she explored in the context of the Bolivian experiment in legal pluralism.
At MA ‘SES’, Annette Mehlhorn teaches a course on EU Governance and Constitutionalisation (see mases.spbu.ru/curriculum/), organizes the annual Winter School in Germany (see mases.spbu.ru/winter-school/), and supports students’ participation in the exchange and internships programs.
