Session ‘Advances in Socio-Semantic Network Analysis’, Sunbelt Conference of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA)

The Session at ‘Sunbelt’, the official annual conference of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (INSNA) was co-organised by Nikita Basov, CGES St Petersburg University with Adina Nerghes, Digital Humanities Group, KNAW Humanities Cluster, the Netherlands, Iina Hellsten, University of Amsterdam, Camille Roth, Humboldt University, Berlin, and Johanne Saint-Charles, University of Québec at Montréal.

This Session addressed the recent advances in socio-semantic network analysis and challenges that this emergent field faces. The Session gathered social network analysts and network scientists from all over the world, contributing to further interdisciplinary cooperation. The papers presented at the Session covered methods of socio-semantic network analysis and its various applications ranging from scientific fields and innovation spaces to politics and disaster risk management, and from social media to local communities.
