The conference was the final event of the collaborative research project ‘Exploring Patterns of Regional and Interregional Cooperation: Central Asia, its Neighboring Countries, and Europe‘ financed by Volkswagen Foundation.
It was focused on processes of inter-regionalization taking place in Central Asia by examining the role of the European Union, Russia, China and India in the region. The event was attended, among others, by Mr. Luca Carapelli from the EU Delegation in Kyrgyzstan and Dr. Neil Melvin, founder of the Brussels-based think tank European Central Asian Monitoring/EUCAM.
Altogether, 42 participants from 11 countries participated in two-day conference and 22 presentations were held.
