September 29–30, 2012
St. Petersburg, CGES
Moderated by Kerstin Schulz from the Berlin Graduate School for Transnational Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin, this seminar took place at the CGES in cooperation with the Centre for European Studies – EU Centre of the European University at St. Petersburg.
The idea of this workshop came to Kerstin Schulz, an intern at the European University at St. Petersburg, as a way to discuss her research interests with Russian and international students as well as to share her methodological questions and solutions with other PhD students working on similar topics or facing similar methodological problems. As a result, nine Russian and international students from diverse disciplines were introduced to prominent concepts and theories dealing with press-state relations from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Participants: MA and PhD students from political sciences, international relations, sociology, communication science and journalism
