On December 4th, Kseniia Puzureva, associate researcher and PhD Fellow at the Centre for German and European Studies of St. Petersburg University took part in the multidisciplinary roundtable 'Overcoming the Challenges of Research On/ In Europe During the Times of COVID' organized by the Institute of European Studies (IES) at UC Berkeley with support from the DAAD. The roundtable aimed to create a space of exchange, feedback, and support for students on how the covid-19 pandemic had affected their research.
Kseniia shared her experience of dealing with the challenges that the pandemic had brought while gathering data in Russia, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK within the 3-year CGES project ‘Creation of knowledge on ecological hazards in Russian and European local communities’ (2019-) supported by Russian Science Foundation. Within the second year of the project, Ksenia was responsible for organizing and administering data collection in all the project cases during the pandemic outbreak and collecting the data herself as well.
