We are happy to share some great news: The Centre for German and European Studies (St Petersburg University - Bielefeld University) was declared as one of the winners in the nomination “Inter-university cooperation” of the open Russian-German competition "Russia and Germany: scientific and educational bridges" aimed at popularizing, strengthening and promoting development of existing partnerships between representatives of the scientific and educational communities of Russia and Germany as well as building new ones.
The CGES is considered as a unique project in the area Russian-German social sciences which contributes significantly to the development of cooperation between Russian and German scholars.

The results of the Competition were announced on September 15, 2020 during the Closing ceremony of the German-Russian year of University Cooperation and Science 2018-2020, held under the patronage of Heiko Maas, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany and Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and coordinators of the Year: The National University of Science and Technology ‘MISiS’, The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and the DWIH Moscow (German House for Research and Innovation).
