Russian office of the Centre for German and European studies
Today, the Centre for German and European Studies hosted a workshop on international papers writing and publishing. The workshop, held by Dr. Verena Molitor from Bielefeld University, Germany, focused on different strategies of articles’ preparation along with the techniques to enhance the efficiency of the writing process.

The final of the Russian-European research papers competition for junior scientists has just finished at the Centre for German and European Studies.
During the final, 6 articles out of the total 18 competing papers by Russian and European researchers were presented by their authors: Ivan Gonzalez, St. Petersburg State University; Eline Helmer, University College London; Alina Novik, European University at St. Petersburg; Antonina Ovrutskaya, NRU HSE; Michela Romano, University of Bologna; Lola Rouze, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University.

The history of the international regime of the Biological weapons convention (BWC) is complicated and controversial. Today, the need to secure the vitality of BWC regime has become even more critical. The mechanism of intersessional consultations was introduced two years ago and adopted a year ago. The State Parties to BWC have started their cooperation within the framework of these improved procedures. Currently, civil society is more actively involved in the arms control diplomacy and therefore has opportunities to raise awareness, suggest possible solutions, and be a part of international efforts to strengthen the BWC regime.
